Bolsena Lake is the largest lake of volcanic origin and one of the clearest lakes in Europe. It appeared thousands of years ago and over time due to the volcanic activity two islands – Martan and Byzantium appeared in it. In the Middle Ages the Martan island was a thriving religious town and the legend of Amalasunte is still alive nowadays...

Amalasunta was the daughter of Theodoric and the Queen, who was killed on the Amalasunta Island by her cousin Teodato, in the rush for the crown. This event triggered a long term war to start. The Byzantium Island was a thriving center since the Etruscans. In the Middle Ages here was built the fortress the only ruins of which have reached our days. The island has other monuments as well, such as the Renaissance church of Saints Giacomo and Christophe and seven small octagonal chapels along the island. Nowadays it is allowed to navigate on sailing boats on this Bolsena, here is a famous school for skippers, and also the fishing is permitted here. Small coastal restaurants here are serving freshwater fish such as tench, pike, eel and whitefish cooked by local recipes...

Vulci is an ancient Etruscan city in the Province of Viterbo, about an hour's drive from Rome. In ancient times the city was one of the largest in the Etruscan state. Till our days there are preserved such magnificent buildings as the Necropolis of Monterozzi, a medieval Castello Vulci castle, the Pellicone pond, the Ponte della Badia bridge, ancient tombs and a huge Kukumella mound. Here you will see one of the most astounding monuments of the ancient constructing – the arched 30 meters high bridge over the Fiora River, built in the 3rd Century BC. Even nowadays it’s striking for its courage in engineering. Right by its side there is a castle built by monks in 13th Century, which today houses the National Archaeological Museum. Monumental halls of the castle keep the relics of the ancient necropolis, architectural elements of temples, sculptures, sarcophaguses, pottery, ancient bronze and golden jewelry etc. We suggest this program for those interested to see the roots of Italian history, architecture and culture.

The unique museum (Museo Nazionale delle Paste Alimentari - Museo della Pasta) is located in the heart of the city near the Trevi Fountain and is indisputably on the list of Rome's worth visiting attractions. It is the only museum of its kind in the world that is entirely dedicated pasta: its history, production process, nutritive and gastronomic value, as well as highlighting the right way to cook and eat it! The exposition is very peculiar, it takes two floors of an old palazzo and consists of a set of rooms, each featuring a different theme – such as a room fully attributable to the pasta production process, another one represents all the best traditional Italian cuisine recipes of cooking pasta, or the hall illustrating the role of pasta in art and cinematograph, as well as a hall with a collection of various machines for the production of pasta... The collection was estimated in 1800 by one of the reputed manufacturers of pasta.

Tarquinia town is located in the province of Viterbo, 45 kilometers away from the capital. Here is located the vastest Etruscan necropolis in Italy – Monterozzi, also known as “The City of the Dead”; it is 6 km long. More than 6,000 of carved into the rock tombs are located on the top of a hill forming the entire streets, squares and blocks. Many of tombs are decorated with original ancient mural paintings, which reveal aspects of life, death and religious beliefs of ancient Etruscans. The subtlety and quality of paintings is a vivid evidence of the high level civilization in the northern Mediterranean. Nowadays the necropolis is open to the public and we would be pleased to present and show you the most interesting of it.

This is one of exclusive tour packages we are proud to offer you. During the trip you will see the unique Bagnoregio town, which will soon remain only in our memories. The name of the city "Balneum Regis" is translated as royal bathing pool and the city was mentioned for the first time in the 5th Century manuscripts. According to legend at that time there were thermal baths at this spot which natural thermal water cured severe wounds of the Lombard king Desiderius. In the last centuries the tuff mountain on which the city is located, is exposed to erosion caused by two streams flowing in the valley at the foot of the city. The town nowadays inhabited by only a few dozen families, is gradually collapsing and apparently disappearing and soon will be only a fairy tale, a mirage… So Bonaventure Tekki gave the city an appropriate name – The Dying City.

Calcata was once a small village abandoned by its residents for the risk of its destruction. At the end of the 60s the town was brought back to life by the artists, sculptors and painters who have decided to revive it and live in such a beautiful place. Nowadays it is a unique town balancing on top of the tuff mountain. Cozy tiny alleys of the town are full of numerous craft shops, traditional restaurants, bakeries and special tea restaurants that serve home-made cakes any time of the day. The legend has it that Calcata’s old but restless hippies are happy to keep open the doors of their shops even on weekends. If you bet here to be at least one monument or museum, you will not find anything like it, except for the big church standing on the main square. Near the town you’ll visit small and beautiful Monte Gelato waterfalls, the National Park Treya and an open air wooden sculptures museum. As Calcata is just 50 km away from Rome, in the province of Viterbo, the journey to the town takes only half an hour.

We offer variable for the duration boat trips from Rome, among them a one-day or two-day trip to the Isle of Capri, which is widely regarded as a prestigious vacation place in Italy. Recently the island has become particularly popular among Italians themselves for its unique mild climate and a well-developed infrastructure. There is no better place to spend a part or all August in Italy. August is a peak season here as the nature of the island is especially beautiful at this time. Capri is in the Gulf of Naples which is near the town of Sorrento, so getting there may take a half an hour from the port of Naples. Or you can directly take a trip from the port near Rome and make it all the way across the sea. Capri is a pretty small island, so you will pass it around on a yacht, visiting the white-sand beaches, mysterious caves, logging into the Blue and White Grottos and the Green Cave by boat. The sea around the island is great for diving and underwater fishing. The sights to see are the tumble-down villa of the Emperor Liberio and the fortress monastery of the 14th Century.

The villa of the Emperor Hadrian – his dearest creation – represents a huge complex of architectural objects, was built in 125-134 years BC. The Emperor himself had an amazing personality; he was a sophisticated and creative person with lots of talents – a great speaker, artist, poet, hunter, explorer and an architect! Adrian designed his precious villa by himself making it a place for relaxation and restoration of the peace of mind. The objects that the emperor on his travels across the huge empire found especially fascinating were reproduced here. Those were the marine theater, libraries, baths, a banquet hall, a swimming pool, and in a large park – magnificent wonders of Egypt, Greece and Asia. The palace was decorated with beautiful statues. This summer residence of the emperor captivates visitors with its magnificent architecture and stunning antique art of landscaping gardening.

Trastevere is the most interesting, beautiful, colorful and especially romantic quarter of Rome. It is perched on the west bank of the Tiber. The first settlers of the area in 7th – 5th Centuries BC were the Etruscans. In the Republican era it was beloved by emigrants, seamen and Jews. Followers of various religions began to build here their synagogues, cathedrals and churches. The Emperor Augustus declared Trastevere as a 14th district of Rome. The Emperor Aurelian officially attached this area to Rome, enclosing it with a wall as a part of Rome. Wealthy villas had begun to build here. In the Middle Ages the common order and harmony of Trastevere were broken with a construction of narrow and curving streets and houses being set against each other. And nowadays the very this conglomeration of houses and mazes of streets attracts here both tourists and residents of Rome. For centuries the layout of this area changed innumerous times with streets having changed their direction, defensive water constructions being built and turning down houses, though Trastevere didn’t lose its unique cozy, nice and friendly entity. Today it is a favorite local’s rendezvous area of Rome. It is famous not only for its catchy history but also for great local restaurants and excellent cuisine! Every night locals with a great pleasure indulge themselves with mini gastronomic tours in this wonderful area. It serves the best artichokes, all the typical Italian dishes and all the best of Italian wines.

There are many legends going around about the history of the greatest city named Rome (in Italian it is Roma and in English – Rome). Any scholar would tell you the legend of the she-wolf who nursed two little boys Romulus and Remus. Subsequently Romulus founded the city. Today the two thousand years old bronze she-wolf is hosted by the one of Roman museums. Scientists considered this legend to be fiction up to excavations of recent years that proved it consisting of many reliable facts, just as the legend of Sabines does. This legend tells how young Roman men stole Sabines girls to make them their wives. After that Sabines and Romans were compelled to unite into one community. The legend calls Romulus as the first king of Rome, whereas the second one is the Sabine Pompilio. All the legends explaining the emergence of Rome and its name are made up of fiction tightly intertwined with reliable historical facts...

Small cozy courtyards, you'll find surrounded by high stone houses, can tell much about the present and the past routine life of Romans. Now here is a monument of this historical Italian. In addition to this all kinds of market and fairs are being held here every day.
